Cast Mourning by paying 2 life if able, or otherwise.
Each creature you control's extort ability triggers.
Resolve the first extort trigger, causing you to pay 2 life if able, or W/B otherwise, causing each opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain that much life.
Repeat step 3 for each remaining extort trigger.
Resolve Mourning, attaching it to a creature you control.
Activate Mourning by paying 2 life, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
Repeat until an opponent loses the game due to having 0 or less life.
This loop leverages K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to rewrite the rules of resource management, replacing every black mana symbol in your costs with a payment of two life instead. Helm of Awakening works alongside this by shaving generic mana off your spells, while Pontiff of Blight generously grants extort to your entire board so that every action feeds life back into your pool. By repeatedly casting and bouncing Mourning—fueled entirely by life instead of mana—you trigger those extort instances over and over again to drain your opponents dry while continuously padding your own life total to keep the engine running.
