How it works

1. Cast Kor Skyfisher by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Helm of Awakening.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Elas il-Kor triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Kor Skyfisher. When it enters, it and Elas il-Kor trigger.
5. Resolve the Kor Skyfisher trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Elas il-Kor trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Defiler of Faith alongside Helm of Awakening to completely eliminate the mana cost of Kor Skyfisher, allowing you to cast it for free by paying 2 life instead. Every time Kor Skyfisher enters the battlefield, its own mandatory bounce trigger safely returns it right back to your hand, while Defiler of Faith simultaneously floods the board with a 1/1 white Soldier token. Finally, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim turns that endless stream of token entries into a continuous stream of life gain, letting you cycle the Skyfisher indefinitely to fuel your storm count and trigger effects.
