How it works
- Activate Sensei's Divining Top's second ability by tapping it, causing you to draw a card and put Sensei's Divining Top on top of your library.
- Vodalian Wave-Knight triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on each other Knight and/or Merfolk you control.
- Cast Sensei's Divining Top from the top of your library by paying 0 and removing a counter from a creature you control.
- Repeat.
This elegant loop turns Sensei's Divining Top into a self-casting engine by leveraging Falco Spara, Pactweaver's ability to cast spells from the top of your library using counters instead of mana. Helm of Awakening reduces the Top's casting cost to zero, allowing you to repeatedly tap the Top to draw a card and place it back on top of your library. Each time you draw that card, Vodalian Wave-Knight triggers to place a +1/+1 counter on itself or any other eligible creature, which Falco Spara can then immediately consume to pay the cost of casting Sensei's Divining Top all over again.
