How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Helm of Awakening.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Kor Celebrant triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Kor Celebrant trigger.
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Kor Celebrant trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This loop achieves infinity by leveraging cost-reducers to cast a creature for free while netting life along the way. With Helm of Awakening and Defiler of Faith both reducing costs, Whitemane Lion can be cast repeatedly for just two life, and Defiler of Faith rewards each casting by churning out a 1/1 Soldier token. Meanwhile, Kor Celebrant sits on the board to catch every single entry—both from the recurring cat and the generated tokens—gaining you life to safely offset the life paid to Defiler of Faith.
