How it works

1. Cast Kor Skyfisher by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Helm of Awakening.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Answered Prayers triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Kor Skyfisher. When it enters, it and Answered Prayers trigger.
5. Resolve the Kor Skyfisher trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Answered Prayers trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Kor Skyfisher into a self-sustaining engine by manipulating its mana cost down to zero. With Helm of Awakening shaving generic mana and Defiler of Faith discounting the remaining white pip at the cost of 2 life, you can repeatedly recast Kor Skyfisher for free; its own entry trigger then forces it right back to your hand. Meanwhile, every iteration of the loop leverages Defiler of Faith's casting trigger to flood the board with Soldier tokens, which in turn continuously awakens and triggers Answered Prayers to secure an endless stream of lifegain.
