How it works

1. Activate Gyre Sage by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Activate Emiel by paying 3, blinking Derevi.
3. When Derevi enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping Gyre Sage.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop revolves around Emiel the Blessed acting as an engine, using its blink ability to continuously reset Derevi, Empyrial Tactician. Each time Derevi re-enters the battlefield, its triggered ability untaps Gyre Sage, which in turn provides the green mana needed to sustain the process—fueled by the +1/+1 counters that accumulate on Gyre Sage as the loop progresses. Because Derevi's untap trigger targets any permanent, this combination not only generates infinite green mana and endless enters-the-battlefield and leaves-the-battlefield triggers, but also lets you untap any other mana-producing permanents you control along the way.
