How it works

1. Activate Grim Poppet by removing a -1/-1 counter from it, putting a -1/-1 counter on Evil Twin.
2. Hapatra triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate Evil Twin by removing a -1/-1 counter from it, putting a -1/-1 counter on Grim Poppet.
4. Hapatra triggers, creating a creature token.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the back-and-forth redistribution of counters into an unstoppable engine, fueled entirely by the interplay between Grim Poppet and Evil Twin (which mimics whichever creature best suits the board). As these two creatures trade -1/-1 counters back and forth, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons watches every single counter placement with a watchful eye, generating a fresh 1/1 green Snake creature token with deathtouch every time a counter is placed. Because the Poppet and the Twin can continuously strip counters from each other and replace them indefinitely, Hapatra's static trigger turns this mutual exchange into an infinite supply of bodies and enter-the-battlefield triggers.
