How it works

1. Cast Evil Twin by paying its mana cost. Choose to have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
2. Put Evil Twin into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
3. Evil Twin's first ability and second ability trigger, along with Rakdos Joins Up's second ability.
4. Resolve Evil Twin's second trigger and Rakdos Joins Up's trigger, dealing damage to target opponent.
5. Resolve Evil Twin's first trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop relies on the continuous enchantment recursion enabled by Starfield of Nyx to turn the legend rule into a lethal weapon. When you cast Evil Twin and have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up, the legend rule immediately sends one to the graveyard, triggering both the copy's enter-the-battlefield effect and Rakdos Joins Up's damage-dealing death trigger. The copied Rakdos Joins Up then reanimates itself from the graveyard with extra counters, allowing you to repeat this cycle endlessly until your opponent is burned out by the repeated legend rule sacrifices.
