How it works

1. Activate Heartless Hidetsugu by tapping it, dealing damage to each opponent equal to half their life total, rounded down, times 2, and dealing no damage to you due to Pariah.

This brutal synergy turns Heartless Hidetsugu's global life-halving ability into a lethal one-sided nuke. By enchanting a creature with Pariah, you cleverly redirect all damage that would be dealt to you straight onto that enchanted creature instead, protecting your own life total while everyone else takes a massive hit. To finish the job, Gratuitous Violence steps in to double the damage dealt by your creatures, meaning Heartless Hidetsugu's halved-life blast is instantly multiplied into fatal numbers for your opponents.
