How it works

1. Activate Marvin by tapping it, untapping a land you control and Marvin as it is a land due to Toph.
2. Repeat.

This brilliant loop relies on Toph, the First Metalbender to fundamentally rewrite the rules of your board, transforming all of your nontoken artifacts into lands. With that foundational change in place, Ley Weaver enters the picture by bringing a crucial activated ability to untap two target lands. Because Toph turns those artifacts into lands, Marvin, Murderous Mimic can copy Ley Weaver's untap ability while retaining its own ability to tap itself for a cost. You simply tap Marvin to untap Marvin and another land, generating an endless cycle that yields infinite untaps and infinite mana for any lands—and by extension, any artifacts—you control.
