How it works

1. Complete a dungeon.
2. Sefris' second ability triggers twice due to Delney.
3. Resolve the first trigger, returning up to one other creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Resolve the second trigger, returning Goliath Paladin from your graveyard onto the battlefield.
5. When Goliath Paladin enters, it triggers once and Preston triggers twice due to Delney.
6. Holding priority, activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Goliath Paladin.
7. Resolve a Preston trigger, creating a token copy of Goliath Paladin that is a 0/1 Illusion.
8. When the Goliath Paladin token enters, it triggers twice due to Delney.
9. Resolve the Goliath Paladin token triggers, venturing into Undercity twice.
10. Resolve the second Preston trigger from step 5, creating a token copy of Goliath Paladin that is a 0/1 Illusion.
11. Repeat steps 8 and 9 one additional time.
12. Resolve the Goliath Paladin trigger from step 5, venturing into Undercity and completing Undercity.
13. Repeat from step 2.

This wondrous engine feeds on the recursive potential of dungeons and Illusions, using Delney, Streetwise Lookout to double every vital trigger along the way. When Sefris of the Hidden Ways finishes a dungeon, Delney ensures her completion ability triggers twice, allowing you to cycle Goliath Paladin back to the battlefield repeatedly. Each time Goliath Paladin enters, Preston, the Vanisher swoops in to manufacture 0/1 Illusion copies that are immediately fed to Phyrexian Altar for mana, while simultaneously triggering the initiative to venture deeper into the Undercity. Because Delney doubles those venture triggers as well, you blaze through the dungeon rooms so rapidly that you finish them over and over, looping Sefris of the Hidden Ways's resurrection triggers infinitely.
