How it works

1. Cast Appa either from your hand or from the command zone by paying plus commander tax, if applicable.
2. When Appa enters, its first ability triggers, exiling Wispweaver Angel with the ability to cast it later from exile.
3. Cast Wispweaver Angel from exile by paying 0.
4. Appa's second ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Ally creature token
5. When Wispweaver Angel enters, it triggers, blinking Appa.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This mesmerizing loop centers on an infinite blink-and-cast cycle between Appa, Steadfast Guardian and Wispweaver Angel, which airbends the Angel away and then brings it right back to repeat the process. Because Stone Calendar and Herald's Horn (naming Angels) collectively reduce the casting cost of Wispweaver Angel from exile by {2}, its alternative casting cost of {2} is entirely wiped out, allowing you to cast it for free. Every iteration of this loop triggers Appa's second ability to flood the board with an endless army of 1/1 white Ally creature tokens while generating boundless enters-the-battlefield and leaves-the-battlefield triggers.
