How it works

1. On the end step prior to your turn, cast Storvald either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 4 and commander tax, if applicable.

3. Activate Tree of Redemption by tapping it, causing your life total to become 1.

Tapping Tree of Redemption right after swaps your life total to match that meager 1 toughness, instantly setting the stage for Near-Death Experience to safely trigger and win you the game during your upcoming upkeep.
