How it works

1. Cast Battalion Foot Soldier by paying 2.
2. When Battalion Foot Soldier enters the battlefield, it triggers.
3. In response to this trigger, activate Earthcraft by tapping Battalion Foot Soldier, untapping a basic Plains you control.
4. Activate the Plains by tapping it, adding .
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Battalion Foot Soldier and putting it on the bottom of your library, adding CC.
6. Resolve Battalion Foot Soldier's trigger, searching your library for a card named Battalion Foot Soldier and putting it into your hand.
7. Repeat.
