How it works

1. Cast Battalion Foot Soldier by paying .
2. When Battalion Foot Soldier enters the battlefield, it triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Battalion Foot Soldier, adding .
4. Battalion Foot Soldier is put on the bottom of your library instead of into your graveyard due to Wheel of Sun and Moon.
5. Resolve the Battalion Foot Soldier trigger from step 2, searching your library for Battalion Foot Soldier and putting it into your hand.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a humble common into an infinite engine by leveraging a precise interplay of library manipulation and mana generation.
