How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature that can be cast using CC, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Mortuary triggers, putting the creature on top of your library.
3. Activate Wood Sage by tapping it, naming the creature put on top of your library, then revealing the top four cards of your library and putting the creature into your hand.
4. Cast the creature by paying its mana cost.
5. When the creature enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
6. Repeat.
7. If the creature can be cast using C or less, this combo nets infinite colorless mana.

This ingenious loop relies on a clever marriage of graveyard manipulation and battlefield triggers to generate infinite resources. When you sacrifice a creature to Ashnod's Altar, Mortuary immediately catches it on its way to the graveyard, placing it right back on top of your library so Wood Sage can easily find it with its tap ability. Once you recast that creature, Intruder Alarm notices the new arrival and untaps all creatures, including Wood Sage, which clears the way to repeat the cycle. Because Ashnod's Altar returns more mana than the creature costs to recast, you are left with an unstoppable engine of infinite colorless mana, sacrifice triggers, and creature entries.
