How it works

1. During your precombat main phase, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the additional nontoken green creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Verdant Succession triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Hua Tuo by tapping it, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Verdant Succession trigger, searching your library for the sacrificed creature and putting it onto the battlefield.
5. When the creature enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
6. Repeat.

This crafty loop relies on Ashnod's Altar to convert your green nontoken creatures into a steady stream of colorless mana while sending them to the graveyard. As each creature dies, Verdant Succession triggers to fetch a fresh copy from your library, but Hua Tuo, Honored Physician intercepts the dead creature first by tucking it safely back on top of your library so the search effect can find it and put it directly onto the battlefield. Whenever that replacement creature arrives, Intruder Alarm triggers to untap your entire board—most importantly untapping Hua Tuo so it can repeat the process—allowing you to endlessly sacrifice, recycle, and replay your creatures for boundless resources.
