How it works
Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature that can be cast using one colored mana, adding one mana of any color.
When the creature dies, Mortuary triggers, putting the creature on top of your library.
Activate Wood Sage by tapping it, naming the creature put on top of your library, then revealing the top four cards of your library and putting the creature into your hand.
Cast the creature by paying its mana cost.
When the creature enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
Repeat.
This elegant loop turns a simple recursion engine into an infinite mana and storm machine by exploiting the continuous untap trigger of Intruder Alarm. You sacrifice a creature to Phyrexian Altar for mana, which instantly triggers Mortuary to place that creature right back on top of your library. Tapping Wood Sage lets you name and immediately draw that exact creature from the top four revealed cards, leaving the remaining cards in your graveyard. Once you recast the creature, Intruder Alarm sees it enter the battlefield and untaps all your creatures—including Wood Sage—allowing you to start the cycle anew and generate endless sacrifice and ETB triggers.
