How it works

1. Animate Hourglass of the Lost using Rise and Shine.
2. Activate Hourglass of the Lost's first ability by tapping it, adding and putting a time counter on it.
3. Kate's first ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
4. When the Soldier enters, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever concoction turns a modest relic into an absolute engine by bringing artifact animation and tribal synergy together. By casting Rise and Shine with its overload cost, you turn Hourglass of the Lost into an artifact creature, allowing its tap ability to directly trigger the untap wave from Intruder Alarm. Every time you tap the Hourglass for white mana and place a time counter upon it, Kate Stewart rewards your efforts by spawning a 1/1 Soldier token. Each fresh Soldier entering the battlefield immediately trips Intruder Alarm, which happily untaps your animate Hourglass so you can repeat the loop to generate infinite white mana, infinite tokens, and an infinitely untapped army.
