How it works
- Cast Belonging by paying 5.
- When Belonging enters, it and Intruder Alarm trigger.
- Resolve the Belonging trigger, creating three 1/1 Shapeshifter creature tokens with changeling.
- When the Shapeshifters enter, Intruder Alarm triggers three times. Resolve the Intruder Alarm triggers from this step and step 2, untapping all creatures four times.
- Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Belonging.
- Activate Rat King by tapping it and sacrificing the Shapeshifters, returning Belonging from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- Repeat from step 2.
This loop relies on Belonging's ability to flood the board with tokens that simultaneously fuel your sacrifice outlets and capitalize on Intruder Alarm's static untap ability. Every time Belonging enters the battlefield, its trigger creates three changelings that trigger Intruder Alarm, untapping all your creatures—including Bartolomé del Presidio and Rat King, Verminister—so you can sacrifice Belonging and your newly made tokens to feed Bartolomé del Presidio's counters and tap Rat King to bring Belonging right back. Because those sacrifices also cause a permanent to leave the battlefield, Rat King, Verminister's own end step trigger is quietly echoed throughout your turn, while the constant cycling of creatures generates an endless storm of enters-the-battlefield, leaves-the-battlefield, and death triggers.
