How it works

1. Activate Xavier Sal by tapping it and removing a counter from a permanent you control, creating a token copy of the Forest Dryad token.
2. When the Forest Dryad enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm and Ior Ruin Expedition trigger.
3. Resolve the Ior Ruin Expedition trigger, putting a counter on a creature you control.
4. Resolve the Intruder Alarm trigger, untapping all creatures.
5. Repeat.

This brilliant engine relies on Xavier Sal, Infested Captain to churn out an endless army of Forest Dryad tokens, which are initially seeded by casting Awaken the Woods. Each time Xavier populates a Dryad by removing a counter from something like Ior Ruin Expedition, the newly arriving creature triggers Intruder Alarm to untap your entire board—including Xavier Sal. This untap loop allows you to endlessly repeat the process, turning single counters into fresh bodies while simultaneously racking up infinite landfall triggers for Ior Ruin Expedition.
