How it works

1. Activate Xavier Sal by tapping it and removing a counter from a permanent you control, creating a copy of an artifact creature token you control.
2. When the creature token enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm and Captain Storm trigger.
3. Resolve the Intruder Alarm trigger, untapping all creatures.
4. Resolve the Captain Storm trigger, putting a counter on it.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Xavier Sal, Infested Captain to populate your board while Intruder Alarm constantly untaps him in response to every new token. Whenever that artifact creature token enters, Captain Storm, Cosmium Raider chimes in to place a +1/+1 counter right back onto a Pirate, replenishing the fuel source Xavier Sal needs to keep the cycle going. Because Intruder Alarm untaps all your creatures—including Xavier Sal himself and any mana producers you control—each iteration yields a fresh token, an untap step, and fresh counters to feed into the next activation.
