How it works

1. Activate Xavier Sal by tapping it and removing a counter from a permanent you control, creating a token copy of the Forest Dryad token.
2. When the Forest Dryad enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm and Obuun trigger.
3. Resolve the Obuun trigger, putting a counter on a creature you control.
4. Resolve the Intruder Alarm trigger, untapping all creatures.
5. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in turning a single counter into a cascading chain of triggers. It all starts when you activate Xavier Sal, Infested Captain by spending a counter to populate a Forest Dryad token, which is originally generated by Jyoti, Moag Ancient. Each time that new Dryad enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm untaps all your creatures—including Xavier Sal—while Obuun, Mul Daya Ancestor triggers its landfall ability to drop a +1/+1 counter back onto Xavier Sal. This replaces the counter you just spent, leaving you fully ready to tap Xavier Sal again for infinite entries, untaps, and token copies.
