How it works

1. Animate Hourglass of the Lost using Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh.
2. Activate Hourglass of the Lost's first ability by tapping it, adding and putting a time counter on it.
3. Kate's first ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
4. When the Soldier enters, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop starts by turning Hourglass of the Lost into a 4/4 creature with Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh, allowing it to take advantage of the untapping mayhem. Each time you tap the Hourglass for its mana ability, it adds white mana and places a time counter on itself, which instantly triggers Kate Stewart to create a 1/1 Soldier token. That new token entering the battlefield wakes up Intruder Alarm, whose static ability untaps all your creatures—including the animated Hourglass—so you can immediately tap it again for infinite mana and tokens. With your army infinitely reinforced by Kate Stewart and every permanent loaded with time counters, you can swing for an astronomical amount of damage using Kate's heavy attack cost.
