How it works

1. Activate Fain's third ability by tapping it and sacrificing another artifact, creating a 2/1 Inkling creature token.
2. When the Inkling enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
3. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing the Inkling.
4. When the Inkling dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating a Treasure token.
5. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to the Inkling's power.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the cycle of life and death into an endless engine of mill and mana, anchored by Intruder Alarm's static ability to untap your board whenever a creature arrives. Fain, the Broker acts as the primary catalyst by using a spare artifact to churn out a 2/1 Inkling creature token, which immediately triggers the Alarm to untap Fain. You then feed that same Inkling to Altar of Dementia to mill your opponent, while Pitiless Plunderer quietly watches from the sidelines to generate a Treasure token every time a creature perishes. That newly minted Treasure replaces the sacrificed artifact you need to restart Fain's loop, letting you endlessly repeat the process to mill your opponents out of the game entirely.
