How it works

1. Animate Hourglass of the Lost using Workshop Elders.
2. Activate Hourglass of the Lost's first ability by tapping it, adding and putting a time counter on it.
3. Kate's first ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
4. When the Soldier enters, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns the unassuming Hourglass of the Lost into an unstoppable engine by animating it into an artifact creature with Workshop Elders, letting it tap for mana while conveniently triggering Intruder Alarm every time it untaps. Because tapping the Hourglass adds a time counter to it, Kate Stewart's trigger immediately floods the board with a Soldier token, whose entry triggers Intruder Alarm once more to untap the animated Hourglass and ready it for another iteration. You can repeat this sequence to generate boundless white mana, a limitless army of tokens, and an infinite number of creature untaps, leaving Workshop Elders to ensure all your artifact creatures take to the skies for a decisive strike.
