How it works

1. Activate Hourglass of the Lost's first ability by tapping it, adding and putting a time counter on it.
2. Kate's first ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
4. Activate Tidewater Minion by tapping it, untapping Hourglass of the Lost.
5. Repeat.

This engine harnesses the continuous untapping power of Intruder Alarm to loop the mana and counter-generation of Hourglass of the Lost. Each time Hourglass of the Lost taps to add white mana and place a time counter, Kate Stewart rewards you with a 1/1 Soldier token entering the battlefield. That new arrival triggers Intruder Alarm to untap everything—including Tidewater Minion, which you can use to untap Hourglass of the Lost and keep the cycle spinning. Even though Tidewater Minion has defender, its active tap ability seamlessly resets your artifacts while generating infinite white mana, infinite creature tokens, and infinite ETB triggers.
