How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Golgari Thug.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it triggers, putting itself from your graveyard on top of your library.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing you to mill Golgari Thug from your library.
4. Activate The Master by tapping it, putting Golgari Thug from your graveyard onto the battlefield.
5. When Golgari Thug enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
6. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns a modest graveyard recursion engine into a catastrophic mill machine by exploiting the relentless global untap trigger of Intruder Alarm. You begin by using Altar of Dementia to sacrifice Golgari Thug, whose death trigger neatly stacks the card back onto your library, only to be immediately milled right back into the graveyard by the Altar's self-sacrifice resolution. From there, The Master, Transcendent steps in with its tap ability to resurrect the Golgari Thug to the battlefield as a 3/3 Mutant, which in turn wakes up Intruder Alarm to untap The Master so the cycle can start all over again.
