How it works

1. Play Glacial Chasm either from your hand or from your graveyard.
2. When Glacial Chasm enters the battlefield, its second ability triggers, causing you to sacrifice another land you control.
3. Play any land from your graveyard.
4. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Glacial Chasm's cumulative upkeep ability triggers, allowing you to choose not to pay the cost and sacrifice it instead.
5. Repeat.

This resilient defensive lock works by leveraging Glacial Chasm to completely blank all damage dealt to you, entirely bypassing its punishing drawbacks by refusing to pay its cumulative upkeep and letting it go to the graveyard. From there, Perennial Behemoth steps in to let you continuously play those sacrificed lands right back out of your graveyard, keeping your mana base intact. Meanwhile, Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait anchors the engine by taking advantage of your repeated land drops to fuel your card advantage and keep your hand full while you safely weather any storm.
