How it works

1. Cast Volcano Hellion by paying 2.
2. When Volcano Hellion enters, it triggers, dealing an arbitarily large amount of damage to you and a creature. The damage that would be dealt to you is dealt to Spiteful Sliver instead due to Pariah's Shield.
3. Spiteful Sliver triggers, dealing an arbitrarily large amount of damage to an applicable target.

This explosive combo turns Volcano Hellion's self-inflicted damage into a lethal weapon by redirecting it through Pariah's Shield straight onto Spiteful Sliver. Because the damage dealt to you is safely shunted to the equipped Sliver, Spiteful Sliver's triggered ability instantly fires back with that exact same massive amount of damage aimed squarely at your opponent. It is a wonderfully destructive piece of alchemy that lets you convert an otherwise suicidal entry trigger into an instant win.
