How it works

1. Cast Insult by paying 2.
2. Activate Heartless Hidetsugu by tapping it, dealing damage to each opponent equal to half their life total, rounded down, times 2, and dealing no damage to you due to Pariah's Shield.

This lethal brew comes together by turning Heartless Hidetsugu's symmetrical life-halving effect into a one-sided slaughter, amplified entirely by Insult // Injury. Normally, the goblin shaman's tap ability would threaten your own life total just as much as your foes', but equipping him with Pariah's Shield elegantly redirects all that incoming self-harm right back onto the equipped creature instead. Meanwhile, the unpreventable damage-doubling effect of Insult ensures that whenever Heartless Hidetsugu deals damage, the rounded-down fractions are violently doubled, quickly overwhelming your opponents' remaining health in a single fiery burst.
