Pariah's Shield

How it works

1. Whenever damage would be dealt to you, Pariah's Shield causes that damage to be redirected to the creature it's attached to.
2. Vigor will then prevent the damage and put that many +1/+1 counters on that creature instead.

This locking combination creates an impenetrable defense by combining Pariah's Shield with Vigor. Once the Shield is equipped to a creature, any incoming damage directed at you is completely redirected to that creature instead. Vigor's passive replacement effect then steps in to prevent that damage entirely, rewarding the creature with a cascade of +1/+1 counters equal to the prevented amount. As a result, your life total remains untouched while your creature grows infinitely massive with every attack thrown your way.
