How it works

1. Whenever damage would be dealt to you, Pariah's Shield causes that damage to be redirected to the creature it is attached to.
2. Since Inviolability grants an ability to the creature preventing damage being dealt to it, no damage is dealt to you or to that creature.

This elegant defensive lock centers entirely around manipulating damage redirection and prevention to make you completely untouchable. By equipping Pariah's Shield to a creature, you completely intercept any incoming harm that would otherwise be dealt to you, routing it safely to your own pawn. Meanwhile, Inviolability continuously blankets that exact same creature in total protection, ensuring the redirected blows are completely nullified down to the last point. Together, these two enchantments and artifacts form an impenetrable defensive barrier that shields both you and your board from harm across Commander, Legacy, Oathbreaker, PreDH, and Vintage formats.
