How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Promised Kannushi, adding 2.
2. When Promised Kannushi dies, its soulshift ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to your hand.
3. Cast Promised Kannushi by paying 1.
4. Repeat.

This loop relies on turning Promised Kannushi into an eligible target for its own soulshift ability, which Rukarumel, Biologist achieves by making all creature cards and spells Slivers in addition to their other types (choosing Spirit). Mycosynth Lattice ensures all permanents and cards not on the battlefield are colorless, satisfying the mana requirements to effortlessly recast the returned creature. By sacrificing Promised Kannushi to Ashnod's Altar, you generate the exact mana needed to replay it while feeding the graveyard recursion loop infinitely.
