How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Promised Kannushi, adding 2.
2. When Promised Kannushi dies, its soulshift ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to your hand.
3. Cast Promised Kannushi by paying 1.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns a humble Spirit into an infinite mana and storm engine by reshaping the very nature of the battlefield. With Conspiracy set to "Spirit" and Mycosynth Lattice turning all permanents into artifacts, Promised Kannushi becomes an artifact Spirit whose own Soulshift 7 trigger can target itself in the graveyard. You sacrifice Promised Kannushi to Ashnod's Altar for two colorless mana, then use that mana to cast it right back out of your hand—funding the loop entirely on its own while generating infinite death triggers, enter-the-battlefield triggers, and storm count along the way.
