How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Promised Kannushi, adding CC.
2. When Promised Kannushi dies, its soulshift ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to your hand.
3. Activate Stonework Packbeast by paying 2, adding .
4. Cast Promised Kannushi by paying .
5. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Conspiracy to rewrite the rules of the game by declaring its chosen type to be Spirit, which immediately turns Promised Kannushi—as well as the versatile Stonework Packbeast—into Spirits everywhere, even in the graveyard. Once your loop is primed, Ashnod's Altar provides the colorless fuel to sacrifice Promised Kannushi, generating the exact amount of mana needed to replay it, while its newly acquired Spirit subtype ensures its Soulshift 7 trigger effortlessly returns it straight from the graveyard back to your hand.
