How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Promised Kannushi, adding CC.
2. When Promised Kannushi dies, its soulshift ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to your hand.
3. Activate Crossroads Candleguide by paying 2, adding .
4. Cast Promised Kannushi by paying .
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop relies on turning Promised Kannushi into a Spirit wherever it goes using Conspiracy, allowing its own Soulshift 7 trigger to bounce it right back to your hand whenever it hits the graveyard. Ashnod's Altar provides the initial sacrifice outlet to fuel the engine with colorless mana, but because the spell costs green, Crossroads Candleguide steps in to filter that generic mana into the exact green mana needed to recast the creature. By continuously looping these pieces, you generate an endless cascade of sacrifices, enters-the-battlefield triggers, and storm count without ever running out of fuel.
