How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Promised Kannushi, adding .
2. When Promised Kannushi dies, its soulshift ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to your hand.
3. Cast Promised Kannushi by paying .
4. Repeat.

This loop relies on Rukarumel, Biologist to blanket your entire deck with the chosen creature type, effectively turning Promised Kannushi into a Sliver the moment it hits the graveyard so its soulshift trigger can target itself. Once Promised Kannushi is back in your hand, you simply recast it and feed it right back to Phyrexian Altar for mana, creating a self-sustaining engine. Because the soulshift value is 7, it easily covers the mana cost to replay the Kannushi over and over, generating infinite death, entry, and sacrifice triggers to overwhelm your opponents.
