How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Promised Kannushi, adding .
2. When Promised Kannushi dies, its soulshift ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to your hand.

This clever loop transforms a humble common into an infinite engine by rewriting the rules of the battlefield with **Conspiracy**, which ensures that **Promoted Kannushi** is recognized as a Spirit everywhere it goes—even in your graveyard. Once that type adjustment is in place, sacrificing **Promised Kannushi** to **Phyrexian Altar** triggers its Soulshift 7 ability, allowing you to pull it right back out of the graveyard and straight into your hand. Because the mana generated by the Altar pays for the creature's casting cost entirely, you can replay it and repeat the cycle endlessly.
