How it works

1. Activate Daxos the Returned by paying 1, creating a */* Spirit creature token.
2. Activate Lotus Ring's equip ability by paying 0 due to Puresteel Paladin, attaching it to the Spirit.

This clever loop turns Daxos the Returned into a self-sacrificing mana engine by leveraging Fires of Yavimaya to grant his tokens immediate haste so they don't suffer from summoning sickness. Once you have a critical mass of artifacts to turn on Puresteel Paladin's metalcraft, Lotus Ring can be attached for free, instantly boosting the newly minted Spirit's stats while granting it the ability to sacrifice itself for three mana. You can then channel that mana right back into Daxos the Returned to repeat the cycle endlessly, generating infinite leaves-the-battlefield, entry, and death triggers on the spot.
