How it works

1. Activate Orthion's second ability by paying 6 and tapping it, creating five token copies of Patron of the Arts with haste.
2. When the Patron of the Arts tokens enter the battlefield, they trigger, creating five Treasure artifact tokens.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar three times by sacrificing three Patron of the Arts tokens, adding six C.
4. When the Patron of the Arts tokens die, they trigger, creating three Treasure artifact tokens.
5. Activate six Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 3.
6. Activate Orthion by paying 3 and untapping it, giving it +2/+2 until end of turn.
7. Repeat.
8. Once you have infinite mana, you may instead target any other creature you control.

This loop turns Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink into a token-producing engine by leveraging Umbral Mantle to perpetually untap him. When Orthion creates five copies of Patron of the Arts, their entry triggers create a flood of Treasure tokens, which can then be sacrificed alongside the Patrons themselves (utilizing Ashnod's Altar) to generate both the mana and the untap cost needed to repeat the process. Because Patron of the Arts provides value both coming and going, sacrificing the tokens feeds the Altar while triggering even more Treasures, leaving you with boundless resources and a massive, infinitely pumped Orthion.
