Magus of the Future

How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the nontoken creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Mortuary triggers, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast the creature by paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns a single creature into a self-sustaining engine by exploiting the synergy between the graveyard and the top of your library. When you sacrifice your creature to Ashnod's Altar, you generate the raw colorless mana needed to recast it. Simultaneously, Mortuary intercepts that creature as it hits the graveyard, neatly stacking it right back on top of your library. Thanks to Magus of the Future, you can cast that very same creature straight from the top of your library, feeding the loop anew while banking an endless stream of colorless mana and death triggers.
