How it works

1. Cast Firdoch Core by paying 3.
2. When Firdoch Core enters, Haru triggers, earthbending Firdoch Core, as it's a land due to Toph.
3. Activate Thaumatog by sacrificing Firdoch Core.
4. When Firdoch Core dies, Haru triggers, returning Firdoch Core from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. When Firdoch Core enters, Haru triggers, earthbending Firdoch Core, as it's a land due to Toph.
6. Resolve the Thaumatog ability.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop turns the battlefield into an engine of continuous rebirth by weaving together land animation and creature types. Toph, the First Metalbender provides the crucial foundation by transforming your nontoken artifacts into lands, which allows Firdoch Core—a changeling that naturally counts as every creature type—to double as both an artifact and an Ally. Because Firdoch Core is an Ally, its arrival triggers Haru, Hidden Talent to earthbend it into a living land, setting up the sacrifice. You then feed Firdoch Core to Thaumatog, sending the changeling to the graveyard where its earthbend ability immediately catches it and returns it to the battlefield tapped. Each loop feeds Thaumatog's sacrifice outlet while generating an endless cascade of enters-the-battlefield, leaving-the-battlefield, and death triggers.
