How it works

1. Activate Field of Ruin's second ability by paying 2, tapping and sacrificing it, targeting any nonbasic land an opponent controls.
2. Holding priority, cast Radiant Performer by paying 3.
3. When Radiant Performer enters the battlefield, it triggers, copying Field of Ruin's ability for each other nonbasic land your opponents control.
4. Resolve the first Field of Ruin ability, destroying the land it it targeting, then causing each player to search their library for a basic land card and put it onto the battlefield.
5. Ob Nixilis' first ability triggers for each opponent who searches this way, causing each opponent to sacrifice a creature and lose 10 life.
6. Repeat from step 4 for each other Field of Ruin ability.

This brutal interaction turns a modest land-destruction tool into a massive drain on your opponents' resources by leveraging the global search effect of Field of Ruin. When you flash in Radiant Performer in response to your own land ability, its entrance trigger redirects and multiplies the Field of Ruin activation to target every nonbasic land your opponents control at once. As those lands are destroyed and every player is forced to search their library for basic land cards, Ob Nixilis, Unshackled watches like a hawk; his static triggered ability reacts to each opponent's library search by stripping away their creatures and draining them of 10 life apiece.
