How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Boss's Chauffeur, adding CC.
2. When Boss's Chauffeur dies, its second ability and Nim Deathmantle trigger.
3. Resolve the Nim Deathmantle trigger, causing you to pay 4 to return Boss's Chauffeur from your graveyard to the battlefield with at least one +1/+1 counter, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
4. Resolve the Boss's Chauffeur trigger, creating at least one 1/1 Citizen creature token.
5. When the Citizen enters the battlefield, Boss's Chauffeur's first ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
6. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a Citizen, adding CC.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Ashnod's Altar into a self-sustaining engine of creation by feeding the sacrifice of Boss's Chauffeur straight into Nim Deathmantle's resurrection trigger. As Boss's Chauffeur repeatedly enters and dies, its death trigger spills out a horde of Citizen tokens proportional to its massive stack of +1/+1 counters—counters that are continually replenished both by its own alliance ability when those tokens arrive and by the equipment's inherent stat boost. Sacrificing those spare Citizens to Ashnod's Altar easily generates the four mana required to pay the Deathmantle's recurring fee, leaving you with an excess of colorless mana alongside your infinite tokens and triggers.
