How it works

1. Activate Magmaw by paying 1 and sacrificing another nonland permanent, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
2. Malcolm triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This clever setup turns a humble equipment into an engine of absolute devastation by weaving together tribal support, token multiplication, and sacrifice mechanics. Once Runed Stalactite is equipped to Magmaw, our elemental is cleverly masquerading as a Pirate, allowing its own fiery strikes to trigger Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator's wealth generation whenever it deals damage to an opponent. Thanks to Parallel Lives doubling the resulting Treasure tokens, sacrificing just one to Magmaw's activation cost actually yields a net gain of mana and fodder. You can simply loop this process to repeatedly hurl 1 damage at your foes until they are reduced to ash.
