How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Twilight Shepherd.
2. When Twilight Shepherd dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Giada.
3. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
4. Repeat.

This loop hinges on a clever interaction between Twilight Shepherd's persist ability and the angel-buffing presence of Giada, Font of Hope. Normally, persist returns a creature with a -1/-1 counter, but since Giada ensures that angels enter with additional +1/+1 counters for each angel you already control, those opposing counters instantly annihilate each other as state-based actions, leaving Twilight Shepherd completely clean and ready to persist again. With Viscera Seer providing a zero-cost sacrifice outlet, you can repeatedly feed the Shepherd to the seer to generate an endless stream of death, sacrifice, and leave-the-battlefield triggers while scrying through your entire deck.
