How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Helm of the Host triggers, creating a nonlegendary token copy of Éomer with haste.
2. Declare Kari Zev as an attacker.
3. Kari Zev triggers, creating a legendary 2/1 Ragavan creature token that is tapped and attacking.
4. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Ragavan, adding CC.
5. When Ragavan dies, each Éomer that hasn't triggered this turn triggers, untapping all creatures you control and causing you to get at least one additional combat phase after this one.
6. Repeat each combat phase.

This clever loop gets rolling when Helm of the Host equips to Éomer, Marshal of Rohan, creating a fresh, nonlegendary copy of him at the start of every combat phase to fuel his untap and extra combat triggers. When Kari Zev, Skyship Raider swings into battle, she naturally generates a legendary Ragavan token to attack alongside your growing army. Feeding that freshly spawned monkey directly into Ashnod's Altar yields a pair of colorless mana while cleanly executing its death. That sacrifice immediately trips Éomer's legendary death clause, untapping your board and granting you another combat step to repeat the entire cycle anew.
