How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Helm of the Host triggers, creating a nonlegendary token copy of Éomer with haste.
2. Declare Kari Zev as an attacker.
3. Kari Zev triggers, creating a legendary 2/1 Ragavan creature token that is tapped and attacking.
4. Holding priority, activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Ragavan, adding 1.
5. When Ragavan dies, each Éomer that hasn't triggered this turn triggers, untapping all creatures you control and causing you to get at least one additional combat phase after this one.
6. Repeat each combat phase.

This clever loop gets rolling during your combat phase when Helm of the Host equips to a copied or original Éomer, Marshal of Rohan to continuously churn out nonlegendary, haste-girt copies of him. As you declare attackers, Kari Zev, Skyship Raider does what she does best by sending herself and a fresh Ragavan token charging into battle. Before damage can ruin the fun, you feed that legendary Ragavan token to the hungry maw of Phyrexian Altar to generate a mana. That sacrifice triggers Éomer to untap your entire squad and grant you an extra combat phase, allowing you to sweep back into action and repeat the process indefinitely for boundless combat steps, tokens, and sacrifices.
