How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Helm of the Host triggers, creating a nonlegendary token copy of Éomer with haste.
2. Declare Kari Zev as an attacker.
3. Kari Zev triggers, creating a legendary 2/1 Ragavan creature token that is tapped and attacking.
4. Holding priority, activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Ragavan, adding .
5. When Ragavan dies, each Éomer that hasn't triggered this turn triggers, untapping all creatures you control and causing you to get at least one additional combat phase after this one.
6. Repeat each combat phase.

This brilliant loop turns your combat step into an endless engine by leveraging the persistent creation of nonlegendary copies via Helm of the Host. With an original Éomer, Marshal of Rohan and your hasty token copy both on the field alongside Kari Zev, Skyship Raider, attacking with Kari Zev automatically generates a legendary Ragavan token that you immediately sacrifice to Thermopod for red mana. That death triggers Éomer, Marshal of Rohan's ability to untap all your creatures and grant you an additional combat phase, all while Thermopod fuels your spells and abilities. Because Helm of the Host replaces the legendary restriction on the copy, both Éomers stand ready to trigger off the sacrifice and loop the combat steps infinitely.
